The Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has suggested that the former midfielder Luka Modric should be staying out of the transfer interest surrounding the star midfielder Gareth Bale. Luka Modric recently completed his £ 35 million move from Tottenham to Real Madrid. He has recently suggested that the Welshman Gareth Bale, who is regarded as one of the best young wingers in the world, should join him at the Spanish club. There has already been a lot of speculation surrounding the 22-year-old and the Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas recently admitted that he does not know how long the club can keep hold of him.
However, he is extremely angered by the Croatian midfielder asking the Welshman to come to Santiago Bernabeu. He has said that instead of focusing on the future of Gareth Bale, Modric should be focusing on his own Real Madrid career. At the Spanish club, Modric has been unable to get regular first-team spot due to the performances of players like Mesut Ozil and Angel di Maria. The Real Madrid manager José Mourinho suggested that the 26-year-old is still in the process of settling in at the club and he expects him to be a major player in the coming seasons.
Mourinho has also said that he is extremely happy with his performance so far. Bale has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. “It’s extremely difficult, if not impossible. Obviously Modric is aware of Gareth’s performances because of his love for Tottenham and the fact that he is very connected with him and this football club. But it’s completely impossible. I think Modric now has to think about his own team,” said Andre Villas-Boas, who has been able to get back-to-back victories against West Ham and Liverpool. This has raised the team to the fourth position in the league.
