Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon is a target for Brighton and Hove Albion as they bid to replace Arsenal target Ben White in their squad. According to The Sun, Brighton boss Graham Potter wants to take Welsh international Rodon on loan for the season.
Seagulls boss Potter was a target for Tottenham Hotspur before they settled for former Valencia and Wolves boss NunoEspirito Santo but the Brighton manager could still have Rodon in his team for the new season if the club’s loan request is granted. Spurs are in the market for a new central defender and they have been linked with a move for Japanese international TakehiroTomiyasuwho’s valued at €25m by his Italian Serie A outfit, Bologna.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Rodon has been targeted by Potter and Brighton as the replacement for England international White who impressed for Leeds United while he was on loan at Elland Road during the penultimate English Championship season. White helped Leeds United seal a return to Premier League football after almost two decades before returning to Brighton at the start of last season. The Seagulls defender is an utility player who can play anywhere in defence and as a defensive midfielder. He has been the subject of two bids from Arsenal and Sky Sports recently disclosed that the Gunners are preparing a third bid for him with Brighton holding out for at least £50m for the player.
