Tottenham Hotspur survived FA Cup scare against lower league opponents to progress into the fifth round of the competition. The North London giants had to come from behind to score four goals and beat English Championship outfit Wycombe Wanderers away from home at the fourth round stage of the competition. Wycombe Wanderers played hosts to Tottenham Hotspur at Adams Park in the last tie in the FA Cup fourth round this season and the bottom club in the English Championship gave Tottenham Hotspur a scare in the first half before manager Jose Mourinho and his players turned it around with the help of three second half goals.
Frenchman Tanguy Ndombele has had his problems under Jose Mourinho but he was the star player as he netted two late goals to propel his team to a comprehensive 4-1 win over the home team. Tanguy Ndombele is the most expensive player in the history of Tottenham Hotspur following his £62m transfer from French Ligue 1 giants Lyon at the start of last season. Ndombele and Mourinho didn’t get along initially but their relationship has improved in recent months.
